Evidence-Based Psychotherapy Tailored to Your Goals
What would be possible for you if pain, fear, challenging thoughts, or uncomfortable emotions did not have to dictate what you do or how you live your life?
You do not have to change or get rid of difficult parts of yourself to create a life that feels meaningful. My goal in therapy is to help you develop tools to navigate those experiences while continuing to explore and build a life that reflects what matters most to you.
My approach to therapy is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approch that focuses on changing your relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and pain while helping you move forward towards the things that matter to you. Rather than waiting for pain or difficult experiences to go away, we can work together to make space for them while moving in a direction shaped by your values, interests, relationships, passions, and what brings you meaning in life.
I believe the therapy process should be collaborative, flexible, and tailored to the client in front of me. Aside from an ACT framework, I also incorporate art therapy, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma informed care into counseling sessions.
There is no version of you that is not welcome and accepted in my office. I welcome clients of all races, genders, sexualities, religions, spiritualities, and identities. It is a priority to me to create a space where you feel safe, accepted, heard, and understood.
My goal as a therapist is not to help you build a life free of difficulty or pain. It is to help you gain the tools to navigate life alongside those experiences you cannot control or change while continuing to move towards the people, experiences, and values that matter most to you.
Together, we can work toward creating a life with greater meaning, connection, and purpose, even when life feels difficult.
